Our values
Dylan took on the role of BA for SWU, creating extensive spreadsheets with super useful data. For a spreadsheet and data nerd like me, it's been a great way to learn about SWU. The best part? We get to hear about all of it at Super Friday. Thanks, Dylan!

Be truly transparent. That means having meaningful conversations every day. It also means everyone has input into how the company grows and evolves.
I recently created some emails in Dyspatch for Startup Slam and I want to say a big THANK YOU to everyone who has worked on this product. It is so intuitive and easy to use - whenever I was stuck on something, or couldn't remember what to do next a few easy clicks got me pointed back in the right direction. Compared to Eventbrite, which I was using concurrently, Dyspatch was a dream. Nice work everyone!

Dream big
We like solving hard problems and we strive to be the very best in everything we do. Even though we’re a small team, we firmly believe that truly anything is possible.
CS reported an issue late afternoon and Rob quickly investigated and deployed a fix. The issue may have affected a demo that was happening the next morning. Thanks, Rob!

Take good care.
“We care deeply” is one of our mantras. We care about our customers, team members, and products. Lifting each other up is priority number one.
For speaking up about why terminology matters. Aileen is articulate, and the example given about why our internal terminology matters was excellent. Thank you for considering inclusion such a priority at Dyspatch.

Grow diversely.
Diverse, inclusive teams are the key to innovation. We’re constantly striving to be better, more inclusive, and encourage open conversations.
Thank you, Vero, for always volunteering to take announcements or lead standup when the Ops team isn't able to. It's a huge relief to know that you are always willing to jump in and make sure that the meeting is successful when we can't be there!

Show some love.
We love and support the communities we belong to. Growing the community is as important as growing our business.
To Daniel & Chris: Thank you for being the main driving force to migrate SWU from Heroku to AWS, including cleaning up after an AWS infrastructure reseller, adding new autoscaling & K8, and moving to modern tooling!

Don’t fear the ‘F’ word.
Failure is learning and learning is growth. We encourage everyone to discuss setbacks openly, so we can all grow together.

Benefits
We understand not everyone does their best work at the same time (or in the same time zone!). Our core meeting hours are 9:00 am - 2:00 pm Pacific Time, and we ask that you are available during that time frame — both for meetings and for connection.
We transitioned to be fully remote in the winter of 2020, and we’re not going back to the office. We offer desk set-up budgets, remote events and tools, and some fun opportunities for connection, too.
We support your personal and professional development with an annual budget for conferences, workshops, or courses, and the support to actually use it. We encourage our Dyspatchios to lead AMAs, lunch and learns, and share their interests with the team.
We’re proud to offer generous time off, starting with three weeks of paid vacation — plus an extra week every year you’re with the company (to a max of six weeks), a winter holiday office closure, and personal time to take care of life.
We encourage you to find movement (or peace!) with monthly wellness reimbursements, offer team activities ranging from yoga to fun runs, and plan lunch and learns on topics like personal finance and ergonomic workspaces.
Spend time with your new family members! We offer continued benefits, top up your parental leave coverage (for Canadians), and have a flexible return to work schedule for new parents.
One of our core values is Giving Back, and as a #dyspatchio you’ll have the opportunity to get involved in events, volunteer in support of tech education, and bring your personal causes to the team.
